Santarcangelo, where you can feel Romagna

A wonderful medieval village, where the good Romagna lifestyle reigns

Santarcangelo is an ancient medieval village and Slow City, part of the international network of the Cities of Good Living. And we cannot but agree. Yes, because here the Romagna identity is very strong!

Everyone here eats in the typical taverns, speak in dialect and enjoy life. You'll feel like you're in a Federico Fellini movie, between noble palaces, burgundy houses, alleys and small squares that have given it the title of City of Art are being turned, for the events of international scope that animate it but also for the generous festivals of the country, full of aromas and flavors.

Santarcangelo was the birthplace of many famous people, from the great Romagna poet Tonino Guerra to the painter Guida Cagnacci. And the atmosphere of the village is really fascinating: the historical center, placed on top of a hill, is crossed by narrow picturesque alleys, the districts, which all converge towards the symbol of the city, the Campanone (or the Clock Tower) . The village is also crossed by a dense network of mysterious tuff caves, remarkable for their architectural beauty.

We will take you to discover its treasures so rich in charm: the Torre del Campanone, the Piazza delle Monache, the Collegiate Church, the Parish Church of San Michele and the Stamps Artisan Marchi that for centuries of tradition still uses a manga from the 1600s, for then stop for a stop for a coffee in the beautiful Piazza Centrale Ganganelli. Don't forget to pass under the Arco Ganganelli, bring luck!
